SAS axle info needed

All the SAS's I've seen, with the exception of the Sonoran Steel 3rd Gen, have used Toyota front axles. But has anyone used a D44(or mabey D60) from a domestic?

Can anyone tell me the width of the rear axle on a 2nd Gen runner? (xx" WMS-WMS), cause I know that toyota front axles are slightly narrower than the 2nd Gen rear axles.

Also, anyone know if you could get Chevy brake calipers to work with a Toyota master cylinder?

A D44 on a Toyota and Chebby calipers with a Toy master cylinder?

A Waggy axle is what you seek...

clicky

and afaik, 2nd gen runners are passenger side diffs, whilst 3rg gen runners & tacos use drivers side diff hence the waggy (wagoneer d44) axle setup in schaefers ride...

a modified chevy dana 44 is also a relatively popular swap. i think that most guys have at least the long side cut down to narrow it to toyota width.

Alrighty, in further pursuits of my SAS queriers, how wide are toyota spring perches(as the chevy are 31.5")?

The axle I found in 67.5", while my rear is 58". Anywhere I might be able to find some 2" spacers to widen the rear so I don't have to shorten the axle(mucho bucks)? That and I like a wider stance, especially with the lift I'd get from an SAS.
