Tail Light covers were off a 80 series Land Cruiser. Yes I had to take them off beause of the swing arm. I am going to modifiy them so I can use them.

Remember to get those brace measurements, looks like you'll have a good number of older trucks there.

I plan on getting the measurements this morning while I have the oil change done. Barb mailed out your OASIS Deflators the other day US Mail. You should see them soon.

I'd vote neither. They both look too bulky, like the stock bumper. I'd go with something like Big Rocks Offroad or All-Pro makes:

The bumper is stable but with the rust I had on the inner fender wells I had to weld it to the frame. The tire carrier lock did come unlatched on the trail this weekend and I am going to modify it to a Kaymar style latch. I also reinforced the swing arm.

Can anyone tell me if the stock tire winch can be used with a BCC bumper installed?
I don't want a rear tire carrier but I need a spare I can use still. Also, Is the hitch and shackle tabs standard, or extra?

I think it may be my "tax return" mod this year.

Thanks!

Yes you can. There is plenty of room.

Wow, I really like the lines on the BCC. I also have rear leaf springs, and may consider this route as well. Very nice bumper and it looks really nice on the 4Runners.

SteveO: Really? I thought you were going light weight with tubing like the front? With your tools and fab skills I can't see you buying a pre-made bumper anyways Do they even have one for the 3rd gen?

Strapp22: when your truck flexes doesn't the bumper push into the flares? That seems too tight. I know with my front ARB the frame/body felxes enough to make contact with the flares even with a 1/2" gap. I'd be afraid of tearing off the flares with the bumper mounted tight to them like that.

.........
My time has become very precious; with so many irons in the fire, I don't have much time to spare. I really like the design, more curves, tire carrier, Class 3 hitch. I don't know if they have one for a 3rd, but as stated earlier, I would consider this.

edit:
Pretty nice and slick styling, and it appears they do make 'em for the 3rd gen.

Just for the record, I am out of the mail order bumper business; the guy in Canada is now your only option.

The guy in Canada is called Big Country Customs. I think if you had better pictures then more votes would have been in your favor Steve but at this point it no longer matters. At least your still building them for people that can drop of their rig.

When i finally get a rear bumper i decided to have it fabbed by a local shop. I just have to buy another 4runner first. My current '96 will be my DD.

I vote that this should have been in the 2nd gen section.
