I was comparing the mounting system on this one to the MC bumper yesterday when BLKNBLU kindly came over with some hardware, seems like the MC Bumper does have a couple of extra mounting points that mount to the top of the frame, which seems like it would really help in the rotational stiffness for winching, when the winch is basically trying to twist the bumper off of the truck. I may invest in a welder and fab some of those onto it before adding a winch.
All in all - very happy with the bumper and the speed in which you got it out the door. MC were working on week 12 from the date I ordered their bumper to the date I canceled the order, I know fab work takes time - but 12 weeks is a little out there.

I like the bumper but I dont like the lack of mounts...
The shop I got my Marlin front bumper from, even through it uses 8 mounting bolts, recomends to weld part of it to the frame.
A winch will rip your frame apart! The front of the frame is amazingly thin!

Scotty any pics of the rear bumper for the early 90s trucks??? Is the bumper strong enough to use as a recovery point and/or tow?

Confirmed - M10x1.25. Picked a couple up this morning and they worked just fine, after a bit of minor tweaking with a grinding stone & dremel on the Passenger side hole, which I had to just enlarge 1 edge by about 1mm to get the bolt to line up correctly. Mainly due to the nut being welded a little off center to the frame tho.

Man I wish I had the extra change to lay down for one of those bumpers! Scotty your fabrication skills are top notch. I am a pretty good fab man myself, but I dont think I am that good.
