Well then save the $$ and go big :clap

I bought an 89 runner for a parts truck... if'N you need any 3.0 stuff let me know.

Running a "fresh" engine is both exciting and nerve racking for the first month or so, well for me any how...

The power gains in a fresh engine will be nice for this ex-cab would be even better feeling I'm sure if we were putting it in a few hundred lbs heavier 4runner.

Ya I got the parts 4runner for piecs of truck not pieces of engine...

Not sure what to do w/ the 3.0, tranny, transfer, the stronger rear end etc....

I think the body and frame will turn into a dump trailer.

So I asked a fella at the local dealer.... Toyota master tech....

He said in a bit of alarm, don't touch that thing or take it apart.... HA HA

I'll be going to the local yard and scrapping this one, I do not want to mess w/ it.

The next guy getting this "rebuild motor" will be hosed, I'll leave a not on what I find.
I'm sure that will get lost somewhere along it's "re-birth"

So in essence, as far as Toyota is concerned the IACV/AAV is R & R.

:cry

I still have the old IACV on the motor, went in 9 and 1/2 turns as this spot was the spot where all the threads seemed to match up, color wise.

The motor just went in friday, a small parts mess up on my part, somehow I ordered a 2wd flywheel :cry

Not sure where to start on the "basic set point" for many things, but I think they will be close enough to start the truck tomorrow.

At the start every idle problem will have me focused on this part....:lol
