how do you guys feel about spacers?
I have a 1995 4 runner and just purchased some 15 inch taco/4runner wheels with 31/10.5 bfg a/t i reciently added the BJ/OME lift and at full droop the front tires are so close to the upper a-arms. Should i run a small wheel spacer on the front like 1/4 inch or i have thought about trimming the upper a-arm.
I just wanted to get another opnion..

Ooh, don't cut into those a-arms, too much! 1/4" ain't much, I don't think. I got some cheapo rims that set mine out there, nicely. 100$ each, 15x10. They be 35x12.5. No a-arm trouble.

i have 2 set of rims and i was hopeing not to have to buy another set....I have 16 inch for my street tires and was hopeing to get 32/11.5 with out rubbing but now i am worred that they will b/c the 31/10.5 are so close

I have no experience with wheel spacers, that's what I meant, sorry. 1/4" spacers, sounds like it might not even be enough. I wouldn't quote me on it, but I believe your within safe limits as far as lugs are concerned, there.

At 1/4" vibration shouldn't be an issue with wheel spacers, get hub centric spacers to be sure. If you were to go further than perhaps 1" I would recommend getting the spacers both hub and wheel centric. I'm running 1.5" All-Pro Hub Centric Spacers on all four corners, and they get wicked vibration at 100+ mph. I've had them for several years now, and the vibration at triple digit speeds are the only problem i've encountered. Probably 99% of truck owners won't encounter that problem, but if you use your vehicle for on road sporting, then wheel/hub centric is the way to go.

I know it's a little more than you are looking to get, but I just installed some 1.5" spacers on my DailyDriver, and love 'em. They widened the stance of my rig with factory rims(which is what I wanted), and I haven't had any balance issues at all.

I have no experience with them, but I think they are ok. If I ever did an SAS, I would use them to widen the front a little bit because it comes up a little narrower than the rear on 1st gens.

I bought mine from a vendor on ebay--I can find his name if you like--I think I paid 130.00 +/- shipped. I guess they do fine offroad, (Sling a little more mud though), but the big improvement for me was in cornering-- I recently put all new shocks and OME repl. springs on, and now with the spacers i have a lot more stable ride, not mushy anymore

mine used to rub pretty good, nothing dangerous but deff. a line worn in the sidewall. That was with 32x11.5 on 15x7 90s tacoma rims. I have BS rims now.

I'm in a different truck, but...
I had a bad experience with spacers - they were so out of balance that my rear view mirror "sang" from the vibration. And these were Marlin's, I don't wanna think about what a cheap set would do. I pulled them off after just one ride and let the front end rub.

) to run his 35x14.5x17 Iroks. Anyways, his back right wheel sheared off while pulling into a gas station (hadn't even got to take it muddin yet!)... Dunno, concept seems good (wider wheelbase, allow for wider tires), but there's just something about seeing your buddy's tire rolling on down the road without his jeep attached makes you kinda weary....
