speedometer.....and I am not sure if there is a fuse or not for all dash gauges. Do you have a tach?
Apparently, its all electrical. I'd go for fuses first.

Tachs are electric and so are the speedo's on 94' models...

I'm with Rocko, start searching through your fuses.

I had a similar problem. It ended up being a loose fuse. Check your fusebox under the dash by the driver side speaker. I found that if I wiggled the fuse, it would "catch" and my gauges and windows would work (it killed my power windows and sunroof too...) so I ended up pulling the fuse, bending the prongs in opposite directions a tad, and stuck it back in there. I haven't had a problem since.
When it happened to me it scared the crap outta me. It was the tail end of a 10 hour drive at night, so I was getting pretty heavy eyed. I pull into my driveway, and I realize my oil pressure is zero. I freak out, then realize so is everything else... My first repair reactuin was to kick the fusebox area, which sorta worked. Thats when I knew it was a loose connection... Hopefully that helps...
