Heater control valve compatibility between 22re / 3zve
I have the 3.0 and it finally got cold enough to turn the heater on. I noticed a leak coming from the heater control valve right below it were the screw and cable connection are. I pulled it off cleaned it up lapped the surfaces, but still have a leak so time to replace.
Is the heater control valve the same between the 22re , 3.0 and even for the t100 of my year 1993? The t100 looks exactly the same online, and is significantly cheaper from an auto parts store. I also have the option of plucking one from many trucks at the yards with 22re's if it fits.

sorry i dont have an answer to your question, but I am about to replace mine today hopefully and was wondering if you had any tips on replacing it. It looks fairly simple but tips are always helpful haha.

If you have caps cap off the hoses . You can do a flush of the heater core while you have it apart as well. It is pretty simple one fastener and then the cable mechanism. Ill probably end up buying a new one from napa today myself. The one for the t100 is 31 while the pickup is 45. I may compare them side by side or just suck it up and buy the one for 45.
