faulty jumpstart fried something, no power
Hey all, my truck had its lights on most of the night, so of course it didn't have enough juice to crank this morning, so I go out and jump it with my buddies jeep. The problem is, I failed to realize that the jeep pos was putting out something like 19-20 volts from the alt and when I hooked the batteries, my ☺☺☺☺ got fried. Audible click from what I can assume are the poor fuses popping, and of course no power at all upfront.
My question is (and a quick search didn't help a whole lot) what fuse(s) are directly inline with the battery power that would pop from an overvoltage? And are they type specific to the vehicle, ie: would I not be able to replace them with the standard fuses I carry at all times?
I'm gonna go back out and start troubleshooting, so hopefully some of you are awake enough to throw me a bone
I think it's karma kicking my ass for not wanting to go to work this morning... now I don't have to go to work just yet, but at the cost of my faithful yota!

Incidentally the first thing I tried to do was discon/recon the battery, and presto, the thing works. (After I jumped it with an actual working car battery)
