You probably need the whole rear driveshaft. The rear part of your shaft was very likely bent when it came apart. Mixing and matching drive shaft parts usually results in bad vibrations that only professional driveshaft balancing might correct.
Even when you find a used one, it may need to be balanced if it has suffered any abuse in the past.

alright thanks for the info! we took out the rear drive shaft so your prob right. so that's what I'm looking for

A new one on rockauto.com is about $450 bucks. If you can't find one in a junkyard. Check craigslist to, and ebay as mentioned above.

The only one I saw on Rock Auto was a front driveshaft for an automatic transmission equipped pickup.

that's what I saw, we found a guy about 45 mins from here that might have one we go Saturday to find out if it's the right one. hopefully it is so I can get my baby back on the road, lol

sorry I haven't posted in a while, me and my fiancé are buying a house, so I'm very busy. but we have sent off my drive shaft to little rock, the guy had to order a yoke for it, he said it will only take a couple of days, he's expecting to have it ready by next week.

make sure they straighten the dline u can balence a shoe with weights to counter balance the weight differances the problem is the u joints are still working un evenly when the driveshaft is straight the ujoints work evenly so long story short if a l;ot of weights on dline not straight stll balanced but not straight ive got 20 yrs building dlines trust what i say i hope youre guy is good

this dude dusent know reaqly anything about dlines first of alkl yes the driveshaft will be out of ballaqnce because we use heat to straighten the shafts second of all what i do anmd every shop i know is cut the dammaged end off anr replace the end i charge 100.00 for this DONT TRY TO JERRY RIG SOMTHING when you do you have more problemes and problems and problems im sure you know what im talking abouit 60-2 997 0906
