yeah i'll try to get pics asap...i hooked both hoses up, but the hose closest to the engine is farther to the right than most people put it...could that have an effect on it?

It looks good to me. You must have a bad seal on the pipe somewhere. Either your clamps aren't tight enough, or your two connected hoses aren't holding a proper seal.

Do you mean the hose barb connecting one of the vacuum lines to the air tube? I had trouble sealing mine so I put some urethane weather stripping adhesive around the outside of the barb where it went into the tube. I'm sure silicone or something would work just as well as long as you don't get it into the intake tube. Even when mine was obviously not sealed properly it never stalled though. Good luck

When I saw your pic, for a second I thought that was my pipe cept i have the adapter on the end to the Vafm and a cone filter.
But I know what you are talkin about, or might. When I did mine the first time, I didn't use a replacement pipe, but the tubing that was originally there for the intake system. Mine would start, but then would slowly but surely die. The reason for mine was that there was an air leak behind the vafm. One of my connections wasn't completely sealin and the added flow of air behind the vafm was causing it to die. Check all your soft and hard connections.
To seal your connections between your hose barb and your pipe, try using JBWeld. Thats what I used, and its worked great for me.
Hope you get things worked out.
