So do I, man. Relax.... I'm just horsing around. Ironically enough, I (and my wife) run a no-kill animal sanctuary on our ten acres. We have somewhere around 70 cats. No ones getting hurt, though. Just hollered at. I mean, they pooped in my truck....come on!

I have another idea for you to consider, maybe it will work. If you take the elbow shown in the picture and turn it so its pointing at the passenger fender, then get another elbow, either a 90 degree or 45 degree elbow, what ever one would work the best so the AFM and filter would point down towards the fender were the battery used to be.

It does make a difference, people have reported that there trucks have better throttle response and climb hills on the highway a lot better. The supra AFM allows the engine to breathe better, so yes it would be noticable.

I would go out on a limb and say VERY noticeable. Granted, it's still not a 3.4 =(

You would have to loosen the A/C hose and turn it down a bit, but you might loose some freon, might be able to do it without much loss. just loosen the big nut a little bit, just enough that you can twist the pipe, it has a o-ring in there so maybe it wont leak. then tun it down. thats how mine is.

That`s the later style compressor, the hoses bolt right to the top of it so you can`t move them. Do you have enough room to make my other idea work, by going to the right and then down ?.

it looks that way. i'll try it out (with newspaper tubes) this weekend. the hoses look like they have enough play, just the battery is in the way

Sorry to bring this thread back to life. I just picked up a supra AFM and as i went to bolt it to my factory air box I noticed it is a little taller than the factory AFM. Where did you get the bracket to mount an air filter to the front?

great! however, if you plan on doing the battery/intake swap, don't do this. save your money and time. it cost me about $60-ish for the swap, and in retrospect, should not have done this. but it was a good first project, and if it's all you need, go for it!

If you're just looking to do the battery/intake swap, you can do that for about $10 in extended battery cables. That's the only thing I bought while doing mine.
