Alternator Bolt (nut) lost

1992 22RE base pickup. The big bolt at the bottom that the alternator pivots on. What is the specs for this bolt, as I need to replace the nut that goes in the back end.
I dropped the nut during the install and for the life of me I can't find it. That pivot point is so tight though that the tension adjustment bolt is enough to hold it still for a while...apparently.
Specs on the nut, or a link or a part number maybe?
Getting lots of hits on my searches, but nothing definitive.

Pretty sure it's just a standard metric nut. Go to your local hardware store with the bolt and find a nut that fits it. A local Japanse brand dealership (Toyota, Honda, Yamaha etc) should have basic nuts that should fit too. If you can't find an new one, let us know, I probably could dig one up.

On my 85 runner with a 22re the nut is an M10 x 1.25 I'm pretty sure the alternator mount stayed the same on these engines, so I would bet your 92 is the same.

Red face

As long as the original bolt is still in there it will be M10x1.25
