92 2wd p/u Hardwire o2 sensor question
Hey fellas whats up I have a question on my 92 2wd toyota my o2 sensor plug must have caught a stick or some this yesterday and pulled one wire directly out of the plug for the o2 sensor on the truck side..Can i cut the wire it is supposed to be paired to in the connector and hardwire them together. when i inspected the wire on the truck side the soldered on insert on the wire for the plug connector was broken so i cut the little nub off and stripped the wire back (its a black cased wire) i noticed there seems to be a fine steel wire wrapped in the copper.... because of that i was unsure if it could be hard wired or if i needed to solder them together or how to go about fixing it.
Also i am 21 and dont know everything there is to know so if this is a bone headed question i dont need the sarcasam save it for facebook or something.
All i ask for is a little respect please.

I would just replace the sensor, you will have to look up what Toyota wiring schematic is but it would seem by your description of the wire that you broke the signal wire. It is very sensitive to cutting/soldering and will not read correctly in most cases after it has been repaired. But you could fix it and see if it works, never know you might get lucky.
