4wd high winning

when my truck is in 4hi it has a high wine over 30mph, any ideas?

isn't the whine normal for a gear driven transfer case? I only assume it is since no vehicle information is given. Mine also whines as well. mainly when off throttle in 4hi and almost all the time in 4lo.
