lol deffinatly too big for IFS unless its a street queen that never gets more than the rattle of a pot hole or speen bump...... that would cause alot more damage than good if u wheel 38s on IFS

Ha,
I was thinking the same thing
Umm, Good luck getting those to fit, you'll need at least 4 inches of lift, if not more, the great backspacing on like 10" rims.
Major fender well trimming.
Not to mention the fact if you dont have the gears...5.71's (iThink), Your gonna top out at 45, 50 if your lucky, Thats ontop of your crappy gas mileage.
Oh, And another thing, Your going to have to replace EVERY IFS component about...give or take...minus 14...divide rolling resistance....ONCE A MONTH.
Your going to snap Cv's in half and shear your ring and pinion's...
Anyone have anything else to add?
Besides, why do you need such huge tires...?

firtst i have a 4inch suspension with a 3 inch body. it is allllllllll the way down as in i can loosen the torsion bars no more and i am clearing a 37inch irok easily. i want to do a 1.5 inch BJ spacer and a full spring in the rear with maybe a 2 inch block. this will allow me to clear a 38 because i have a friend with the same truck and torsion bars maxed out (i told him not too) and he doesnt rub at alllllll. all we have around lafayette louisiana is flat land and mudholes. so i do not need to flex at all. o and by the way i have a 3.0 that is no where near enough power to snap cv's and break ring and pinions. its called not being a dumbass and letting off the gas when you start to hop. i have a limited slip in the rear and just might be going to solid front axle eventually but basically this thing is a mostly road king. i try to go offroad as much as possible but there are no trails that i can find and goin offroad normally means its done illegally out here.

i have not broken any cv's. my torsion bars are as loose as the will go. my a arms are as flat as they will go. unfortunatelly i have an open front diff for now. i have never broken any diff parts. or IFS parts for that matter.
and i am recently rolling a 37x12.5R15 for the past two years...
and yeas SCOTTAPHER i am planning on purchasing bigger rubbers. o and just to let you know i plan on purchasing a SFA 80 single cab pickup very soon to be my trail truck.

righteous man!....well go for it...if you got the money dude and you drive it mostly on the street...just check your ball joints/tierods occasionally...as well as your pitman arm and youll be fine.....and i totally agree about not being overly heavy on the gas and knowing your limits....good luck!
what type you looking at....tsl...tsl sx?...parnelli jones?

mine is older with a strait axle but i got 39.5x15-r15 TSL's on 8.5" rims with 1.5" spacers:
only 6" of lifk with fender trimming.
still has 4.10's and stock axles and wheels fine!! turned my 5-speed into a 3-speed but still got to 65 with the 22r with 298,000 on it!!!
also floats on the mud and snow!!! have gone around full size trucks with 44" boggers and hang with the full size trucks with tractor tires!!!!
I think it is a good setup not to top heavy (now that i took off the camper!!)
and i only put 2.8PSI on the ground in the back and 4.3 in the front. for reference the human foot is usuall 7-10 PSI and a grizzly 700 is 2.9PSI roughly!!
I have seen toys with 44" tractor tires with stock axles and never broken, just depends on how you drive and where you wheel. rock crawling 4.10's and 40's probably would not be fun but for the trails and expeditions i do they work great, and yes i want my truck to drive on the tundra!!!
i even have some military issue chains for it and those make it whicked in mud and snow!!!
i dont know of the cv strength but i would say if you can handle 37's with the way you drive the 38's wont be much different stress wise.

yeah my iroks are radials and i love them! they are soo light and i havent had any problems. my truck is mostly a street queen because i dont get the chance to go play to often, i have had them for 2 years and still have a good few months left. i get everywhere my friends with brand new 38inch tsl's does and when climbing i do it easier than him. i love them...
