Got the hose, truck fires up fine, but still shakes and smoke comes out of the exhaust. Pulled out wire on cyl # 1, no drop in idle..., pulled out wire on cyl # 4 and no drop on idle.. car dies if I pull wire on either of the remaining cylinders.

I will try new spark plugs as these seem flooded, maybe because it was running rich? I think if this doesn't work then will probably have to rebuild engine as it is at around 232k miles (supposedly original engine, no rebuilds yet) and was advised maybe rings were worn out. I'll update tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

Before I tore down for a rebuild I’d do the following…
Are those two spark plugs actually firing? Check by leaving them out, and cranking engine and looking for them to spark. If they don’t spark, check ignition system.

If they spark, I’d check compression in those cylinders. First, Check compression in all cylinders. If you have lower compression (like a difference of 10% or more between cylinders)…

Squirt a few drops of engine oil in low cylinders…then retest compression….
If still low, I’d look at valve seating problems. If it’s higher, I’d suspect the rings.

Changed plugs and cyls 1-3 fire ok, injector in last cylinder is leaking a lot of gas now.. seems to have issue after issue lol. I'll try new o-rings and see if that gets the problem solved once and for all and that cylinder starts working as it should.

Changed all the o-rings and all the gaskets of the injectors, there is an issue with injector # 4's wiring. It had been 'fixed' with tape apparently.. but still is not making good contact with the connector on the injector. Truck does not smoke anymore though. It seems issue is now that injector isn't receiving any signal and gas tries to push through and makes a hissing sound.

I may leave it like this.. truck is running fine, though still a little bit rough and lacks a little power when trying to accelerate from a stop. If this won't mess up anything else then it will be left as it is for a while.

Already swapped injectors and all work fine, it is just that last connector wire that doesn't make good contact and I don't really feel like spending few more hours trying to fix this. Someone offered about 1.4k$ for it (Puerto Rico, prices vary from the US) so I may sell it and buy a '90 4*4.
