Oil Light

My 84 toyota 4runner with the 22r has had the oil light on for long time. even after a Head job, new oil and filter. I don't know where to look. Where the sensor or sending unit or whatever is. Any help on pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Pass side block, lower down near oil pan in oil passage.

If you are worried about oil pressure, get a mechanical gauge and test it that way first.

I believe it defaults to "light off" though. I just installed an oil pressure gauge on mine last night. I unplugged the dummy light and it didnt come on this morning during start up like normal.

Whch leads me to believe it isnt a wiring problem??
