my new 85 4runner

I just bought my 85 4runner for 950.00, it is in fair shape. Now to start saving for a lift and tires, and an add-a-leaf. Anybody know a good place to get a body lift?

Also will 33 x ? fit under a stock runner, possibly with a 2'' body lift? What width should I get for them?

Thanks

and just so everyone knows, I'm as GIDDY as a SCHOOLGIRL now that I own my first Toyota.

The pics will be up soon, I've only had the truck for 3 hours. Another quick question that I have is this: are the valve lifters adjustable? There is a little bit of a lifter noise and I am really hoping that it will be easily solved by adjusting them. Thanks

Oh yeah and what does that acronym stand for?

I have already adjusted the valves and fixed an exhaust leak, now all that is left is a lift, bigger tires and get rid of the rust...

Aparently I don't know how to post pics on here so here is the links...

My recommendation, from personal experience, skip the AAL and either build your own custom packs or buy a decent kit. The AAL's are WICKED stiff.

I have ridden in a 4runner, without, and then added an add-a-leaf to it and I thought it was fine...I don't mind that aal's.

welcome to YT, what type of use are you looking for out of your truck? I like a wider tire, but a lot of people are sold on the tall/skinny is better. I like my tires to last longer & mud is more common here than rocks so I buy them wide.
Nice 4runner BTW, you look like you'll be dealing with some rust issues just like me.
Enjoy your new rig!

AAL in the front or AAL in the rear? I don't mind my rear AAL's, I despise my fronts. I am eagerly awaiting the day I get enough of my truck done that I can start working on suspension so I can remove them.

AAL's were in the rear...I am going to start with a 2''shackle in the front and an AAL and 1.5'' shackle in the rear.

The rust is not that bad on the outside, but under the fenderwells it is horrible. I have about a 4'' hole that has rust all the way through
