EB stick do I need stiffer valve springs?

I just rebuilt my 22r and a put in an EB stick. I'm getting horrible valve float. Do these require stiffer springs, and if so what should I go with. I'm using the stock springs, I just replaced the valve stem seals. Any help.

I'm thinking the noisy valve train is not valve float. I think the valves are slightly hitting the piston. It does not happen at low rpm. I will pull the head as soon as I get time. Does this happen much with larger cams? And if so what's the fix? I see head spacers for sale. If that's the problem will this be the way to go? Any help appreciated.
