85 frame swap

ok fellers im doing a frame swap on an 85 toyota pickup i just wanted to show you guys what im doing and my truck this is my first time having a pickup this far tore down
this is what i started out with 600 dollars knowing the frame was rotten but i thought i could fix it turns out its too far gone so i did some searching around and found a non rotted frame from a place in pennsylvania called weikles specialty (i highly recommend them if your in pennsylvania they take care of you and they have there own yota junkyard)

wire wheeled primered and painted gloss black rust oleum oil based enamel its purdy looking lol i got a three inch lift mainly to replace the worn out springs and seven leaf pack in the rear thats bent, new marlin crawler 4.5 inch shackles and a daystar body mount kit

heres the truck with no wheels trying to make it as low as possible as to be able to get the cab off with the engine lift my buddy let me borrow got it off today pics will come tomorrow hopefully .... that was interesting these suckers are heavy it may not look like much but it is thats about it for now i will update tomorrow and will get pics of the cab off and engine and what not

Just take your time and do it right, and your truck will be good as new when your finished.

That 3" makes a big difference with clearance, and you dont even have a body lift in. Thats going to look good all finished up. Nice work.

They will, but not much. Plus the front will settle more w/ the engine going in.
Its deff gona sit higher in the rear.

yeah it it ends up being that much of a diff i will get marlins shackles for the front i got alot of new parts coming all from marlin haha new pinion seal for the rear there was no oil in the rear.... found out why it leaks like a sieve, i got a knuckle rebuild kit w/bearings, the solid pinion spacers, and for some bling i got the low profile magnetic drain plugs

its really great bringing this thing back to life the only issue concerning me is the frame being slightly bent but ill get that pulled and straightened no matter what it takes
