I don't think we need to give him any suggestions really. If you guys read his previous posts he's not really a noob with no plan...

So how would my IFS handle those 37s!!! (kidding)

You've done an excellent job trimming to fit the 37's....and saved a tons of money to!

Yeah, you really need more droop than up travel anyway, so I think what you've planned for your rig is probably one of the best routes you could go.

Very nice work!

To help get a wider stance even though I'm not a huge fan of wheel spacers I think I'll probably get some 1.25" or 1.50" wheel spacers for all 4 corners. The idea with this build is to stay low long and wide. I like feeling good and stable at all times.

Thanks for all the complements

lol Its funny. The pic after the axle relocation and this talk about low, long and wide gets me thinking... are you in the mix of creating an affordable Hummer?

HAHA! THOUGHT YOU COULD OUTSMART ME?

Nice! Now lets see some flex pics!! you'll get more flex out of those 37's at 3psi than the stock leafs.

Looks good. I have been thinking about doing some trimming myself, but I am nervous about how I will feel about the outcome.

thumbs up!

Just take your time when your cutting and you will like the outcome.

So no crossover steering (yet?)

I ask because my 84 is on 33s and no lift, axle moved forwards 35mm, modified drag link and torque rod, etc. My tire buzzes the pitman arm before full right lock. Just trying to figure out what to do next on my pickup.

Your truck looks good.

So that means he will have all of 3-4 inches of flex without getting his fenders. But I wasn't thinking of an aired down tire.

Nope no crossover stearing (yet) but I do plan on it before too long. I'm not sure what your best bet is with your set up.

That looks pretty awesome. TONS of ground clearance with no lift. But I bet she's a dog with those 37s on there.

And those stock birfs are going to hate you!!! lol x2 on the question about the gearing in the diffs and the case. Duals or single case with 4.7's?

it isn't as bad as you would think i have 39.5's on stock birf's and gears and it will do 60...in third! it is slow but still better than i thought and my truck has 289K on it and i have never broken a birf (knok on wood!) in the while i have had the 39's on there!

Hey ryan, (sorry in advance) I guess with that rig you didn't need a bridge to nowhere either.

How does that work on the trail? Do you burn clutches up real easily? Or do you have lower t case gears to compensate for the power loss?

I only have room for about 6" of up travel on the front my truck before the springs would go negative, and I'm 5" up from stock. I'm limited to 4" because of my shocks being too long. Droop is just as much a part of flex as up travel, and flex isn't everything either.

ryantowry, trust me, re-gear as soon as you can afford it. I was stuck with 3.90's and 33's for a while, and that blew. I had the same scenario, truck was lugging (2000 rpm) to do 60 in 4th. Went to 4:88, and it was like having a whole new truck.
