thats the factory steering wheel. the contact point for the horn has just worn so much that it does not make contact anymore. that was before the new clock spring contacts for steering wheels.
i like the truck

Hose you're holding attaches to the underside of the air filter housing. I'd plug/cap the un-hosed one you show in the last photo, until you can figure out what goes there.

Thanks guys!! I got it for 1350 not to bad. I really do not care to much about rust, but the rust hole in the cab is a different story. I am not set up to fix that part, I 'll figure it out.

I will have a bunch of questions on about this thing!!
Going to do a tune up today and see what that does.

Bondo that puppy. And you can find another tailgate for it if you try hard enough. Or if that even matters to you...

Hint: I found a couple tailgates on car-part.com you might be able to use as replacements. High Country 4x4 in Silver City has a white one for $150. And Action Auto Parts in Las Cruces has a yellow on for $75. Both are said to be totally undamaged.

Wow I did not even think about bondo! Its half ass but I think I will give that a try.
As far as the tail gate, is fine just going to leave it.
This thing going to be a snow attack rig, hunting rig and wood hauler, and trail rig.

I did the tune today, new fuel filter, wires etc. Runs about the same.
The old owner said that the vacume advance on the dizzy did not work and he could not time it. I have not checked the timing yet, need to borrow a light. She seems to run right as far as timing. I still need to check.
