Help with making 37's fit

I'm getting 37 x 13.50's and want to make them work without lifting my truck any more. My 33's hit my firewall a little now. I know I can tub my firewall or even move my front axle forward. Both require alot of work. Any other great ideas?

well do you want bigger tires or less work... either way your going to have to move your axle forward or down....

Re-drilled spring pads with zero rates +/- an RUF and that would move you axle forward 2-3 inches, which might be enough.... If you still have push pull steering you will hit the steering when turning right....

I'm trying to put 40 or 42s on my 83 with the least amount of lift possible also. I'm going to cut and move forward any good threads or ideas ?

37's will fit fine on my rig as long as I'm just driving down the highway. My truck flexes so much while wheeling that the 33's rub the firewall. One solution might be to extend the front bumpstops a bit and tub the firewall.

I had stock waggy spring on at the time, moved the axle 2" forward, firewall clearance wasn't an issue running stock bumpstops

you will definitely need to move your front axle forward. you can do rears up front or something like waggy springs.

then its just a matter of extending bumpstops.

push-pull. I know hi-steer is a priority. I put my 37's on and I can't even turn all the cuz the tiers hit my fender already. I guess it's time to move the axle forward and/or start cutin'. I'll post some pics when I get started.

Thanks for the advise Al. Can you help me with a link to a rear up front build?
