Hurricane, UT West Rim - Upper Sliplock 3/1/2008
I got my 84 regular cab back togather after sugery to install dual cases, so some frineds and I went out to give it a test. I think that I have the name right in the title, but I am not positive, so don't quote me on it.
Here's the two rigs that went. Mine's the blue pickup on 265 75's. Cam's 4runner sits on 35 MTZ with a 4 inch marlin lift.
The first big obstacle. I couldn't get up it, it was a combination of wheel base and tire size (that and operator error, but we won't get into that.
The bypass was a faily steep slope, with a small domed top, and a deep, narrow hot-tub on the other side. The crawler pulled it right up, and the stock carb never sputtered.
Nice narrow slot that you have to ride on your sidewalls to get to. The obstacle itself tips you way over no matter what side you take. That left front was about 2 feet in the air. Didn't get Mishel to swear
I tried to go through, but I don't have enough flex or big enough tires (yet). I tagged both rear corners on the way back out, but I would have gotten alot more damage if I had keft going.
And a nice couple of steps to get out.
Nice day to be out. Dixie 4 wheel drive was out on the West Rim too, we passed them on the way out at the parking area. Weather was perfect.

Byron4: Duals rock! I love them. They are totaly worth it. They are working great for me, I do have an oil leak. I didn't get the top 2 bolts all the way tight. Those are the pain in the butt ones up tight to the floor pan.
