Watch as a 2019 Hilux Go from Stock to Fully Modded in a Day

By -

A three-inch lift kit, fresh wheels and tires, and some supporting mods completely change this sweet Hilux.

It’s crazy how big of a difference just a couple of mods can make to your truck or car. Not only can it change the functionality of your truck instantly, but also the aesthetic appearance and the road presence it has. As you guys might know, we don’t get the eighth generation Hilux in the U.S., but that doesn’t mean that our friends down in Australia don’t.

When we tuned in to AutoCraze Au‘s YouTube channel, we couldn’t help but take a closer look at the work it took to make this stock Hilux become an off-road machine.

The eight-generation Hilux is not a bad looking truck by any standard, but even making a couple of little changes really bring out the inherent aggressiveness of the truck. To start, the team at AutoCraze removes the complete front bumper and bar assembly that came with the stock Hilux to start the upgrade process. The undertray is also removed as one of the workers begins making precise cuts in the fender to install the amazing Safari snorkel. The snorkel is fitted and at the same time the new Rival 4×4 bash plate and bull bar are installed on the front end of the truck. Just these three mods alone have honestly given a completely different appearance to the Hilux and they are just getting started.

Next up are the suspension components to be upgraded as part of the package. The stock shocks are uninstalled and in place an amazing 3″ Fox lift kit is put in its place. As the stock suspension arms are also replaced, the kit really starts to come together, including new bushings. There is no better way than to take advantage of a new lift kit than by equipping your truck with a proper wheel and tire package to really maximize that ground clearance and off-road comfort. For this the team finishes off the truck with a set of 17×9 KMC Holeshot wheels in satin black wrapped in 265/70/17 BF Goodrich KO2 tires.

We have to say that the completed package of this Hilux looks especially bad-ass and we are honestly jealous that we don’t get the option here in the U.S. Cheers to the owner though, you have a pretty sweet truck.
