Wheel Spacers

I just got new tires and some aluminum wheels for free. They barely rub on the control arm bushing on the front. I was wondering if it would hurt to just put washers that fit snug on each stud or go...

Like the carpet but i want a rubber or vinyl one. I have a rubber/vinyl one in my pu that is wore in some spots and i want a new one or a good used one and i cant find one on ebay.

I was thinking about getting a smittybilt front tube bumper for my 83. I was wondering if a smittybilt from a 84-89 would bolt right up?
