Ok, to remove the heater control you have to remove most of the dash to do it. to remove the dash pad you need to remove the trim around the gauge cluster, there is a 10mm nut that has to be removed, remove the screws along the lower front edge of the pad, nect you need to remove the glove box, after its out look up inside the dash and you will see a small section of heater duct that needs to be unscrewed and removed. Above that there is another 10mm nut that needs to come off. Now for the hard part, there is a hidden 10mm bolt behind the air vent on the passenger side, you need the unclip this vent and remove it to get to the bolt, this vent can be a bitch to get out sometimes. after that the dash pad will come off. After that remove what ever remaining part of the dash you need to - to gain access to the heater controls, remember how the control cables are routed so you can put them back the same way. Good luck, and if you have anymore questions let me know.
