i have an 88 toyota truck and cant get the te1 and e1 jumper box to work you have any idea what could cause this

hey man you were talking about a swing out tire carrier on your 4 runner?? i took a tire carrier off a isuzu rodeo grounded the mounts to fit the shape ( slightly different from the rodeo ) put rubber inbetween the body and the mounts put thru bolts in thru the bed and mounted the latch on the tailgate it looks and works perfectly it even had holes that i used for my skyjack ill send pictures if you want? by the way i have an 87 pickup

I don't have any idea where you can find one other than the parts store or the dealer. Pick N Pull around here doesn't see many 4runners, and if one does show up its stripped in a day.
