    Stupid 1000 charector limit.....

My buddy has something against splicing....so he decided we needed to open up the trans and drop the valve body and change the solenoids. But like I said he is confident that he can wire one up (he is an electrical engineer, so he better be able to!!) Bottom line yes it can be done with either trans. I used the a340f and im glad I did!

Ive done 3 3.4 swaps over the years. You can technically use the 3.0 trans (a340h) It hasnt been done very much, because when ORS was still making kits/harnesses, they used the 3.4 trans (a340f) because it is a better trans because it doenst have the wierd t-case, and can be easily adapted to gear drive case(s). Im not sure how good you are with Harness work or reading schematics. Since ORS went out of business they left a big void in the market. I have a friend who did the a340h behind the 3.4 and he thinks he can do a harness. But there is quite a bit of info and options, I could type for days on it. But to keep it short. If you want to keep the a340h, then you will still need the 3.4 ecu, the harness's, and you will need to change the wireing on the shift solenoids IIRC. The solenoids are the same but they have different connectors.
