    Thanks man. It did require a lot of work. I cut with a plasma and re-welded the hitch about 3 inches up. Since you have a 99 you may have the "lucky" year where the cross beam of the hitch unbolts. Then you can do the flip hitch mod. It will raise the low hanging hitch piece for ground clearance. I actually recently just trashed that bumper and built one from scratch. I think there are some recent pics of it up on www.soaztim.com

    Hey Tim, I have always liked your 4runner and I have a 99 set up similarly. When you tucked your hitch did it require cutting and welding or were you able to just remove it and bolt it on top of the frame? I would like to get mine up higher and trim my bumper like yours. Mine is pretty beat... Thanks Clark
