    Hey there!

I realize this is a while ago now, but hope you're still around to chat.

I am building a '91 Extra Cab. 4WD, Manual trans. I am also putting an AAZ as a transplant into it for the purpose of RPM and gearing.

I'm just in the process of repairing some body work as the front left fender/core support got smooshed up a bit, but was hoping to talk to you a bit about the clearance issues you had. From what I understand in your writings, if I planned on a 2" body lift, I should be able to avoid oil pan issues by having taller engine mounts, and by moving the engine/trans/case forward 1-2 inches, I would avoid any firewall issues?

Was there any other specific issues you ran into, or have any other tips for someone undertaking this project?

I live in the Peterborough area actually, not too far from you!

    Hope all is well

Hey Flash, How did the 1.6 VW diesel work out? i just read an old thread about it. Did it ever work out for you? I'm thinking an inexpensive small diesel like the 1.6 is ideal for economy and a biodiesel option.

Hi there my name's Matt from England. I'm currently building a Dax Rush Kit car using the 4 cylinder Audi 1.8 litre turbo engine and I think the adapter plate you made for your truck would be just what I need to install the engine with a Toyota gearbox. Would you be willing to share some of your CAD files with me??

    Regards

    Matt.

Flash, i just signed up here to see if you still have the Flywheel and adapter FS. i am not doing a toyota, rather making my rabbit RWD. and this is the route i want to go. i just need to figure out about a strong toyota trans. W56 is good?

i am in USA, in Oregon, postal code 97301.

if you still have the FW and adapter plate, i am really interested. as well as starter, too.

thanks for the detailed build up, i spent the last 2 hrs reading it.

    Aaron
