I love the ARB locker, I assume you already have a rear locker. If not, get a rear locker first. I have broken 3 or 4 cv axles, but they are relatively cheap and easy to replace. I always carry a spare cv axle. Now that I have broken a few, all the ones I have are lifetime warrantied by Advance Auto, so they are free replacements. I think the ARB makes you less likely to break an axle because you have traction and are not spinning tires to get up something (if a tire is spinning and all of a sudden catches, this is what causes the cv to break).

Let me know if you have any more questions

I see you have an arb front locker. I also have a 99 4runner v-6 and am looking at an arb front locker. How do you like yours? Any broken parts so far? I was advised not to install a front locker because of the danger of breaking some toyota parts (drive shaft, cv joints, etc). Any validity to this fear, or did you find some stronger after market parts that you used?

    Thanks

    Ralph
