Hi Elton,

I saw your post about the tail light coverter box for tow lights. You mentioned the black converter box wasn't the problem, just a plug.

I have a '99 4Runner Limited 4x4 and just hooked up a trailer for the first time today and the lights didn't work at all. I like the OEM quick plug box and would rather keep it, especially if it's working, rather than cutting wires and doing individual wire connections to a Hopkins box.

I tested the black converter box with an Ohm tester and current is flowing through it. Do you think my quick plugs are bad and if so, how can I replace those? What would you recommend?

Do you happen to have any pictures of your diff lock's wiring harness? I am putting in the ecu from a tacoma into a 4runner, but the wire colors are different and I need a factory harness to compare the pin connections to. Thanks in advance.

Hey Elton, couldn't sleep and was poking around yotatech when I say one of your posts. I grew up in Siletz! Moved to AZ from Oregon just this last Summer, though it's been years and years since I've been back to Siletz. Miss the hell out of the NW. Anyway, nice 4runner(s).
