Your computers!
What are the specs and such on your computers?
I have a crap load of computers, but I only really use one because it is fast and it has enough space for my homework. Ok, so it isn't really fast. Here are the specs:
RAM: 640 MB DDR
CPU: 1.2 AMD Duran (I think 1800+)
Video: 4200 AGP 8X nVidia
Hard Drive (s): one 40 GIG and a 60 GIG as a slave. Plus, I have a 120 GIG external.
Motherboard: Some Gigabyte motherboard that I found in a computer at a friends house.
PSU: 420 WATT
Monitor: Samsung 19" CRT
Sound: Onboard sound with a Parot-900 Amp, and Creative speakers.
GE Keyboard and AOpen optical 5 button 2 scroll mouse.
Here is my beast computer tower. I have it in a Quantum Steel case. Great for transportation to LAN parties.
Those are with my Dell 15" CRT LAN monitor.
My mom and I have a Dell 9100 Inspiron Laptop that we use for movies. We also have two other towers in the house, an older del (from 2000.) and another computer that I built. I don't have any pictures of it other then an old desktop with my really old computer that got pwned in my car accident.
The one on the left is my old computer. The parts will still good, so I threw it in the case that is to the right, then put the parts from that case into this new case that I bought. The parts in the other computer are actually better, so I use it for LAN parties. This comptuer I take also in case somebody didn't bring one, but it isn't as good as the other.
RAM: 1024 MB DDR
CPU: 1.61 AMD Athlon overclocked to 2.0
Video: 6200
Hard Drive (s): one 80 GB Maxtor
Motherboard: MSI K8N
PSU: 400 WATT
Monitor: Dell 15" CRT "Battle Monitor"
Sound: Onboard with stock Dell sound.
I run all these computers on a network with 2 connected directly with Cat 5 cables and the others with a wireless network. My sister has a computer as well, but it is so weak it is incapable of doing really anything.
Also, I have a crap load of old computers (mainly from the 90's) that I have gotten/found here and there. I normally gut them, and then get rid of the stuff I don't need, but the ones I have now I have kept for later use (mainly some moddable cases I have yet to gut out.)
So what do you guys roll with?

Dual PIII 1.4 w/2gb ram/SCSI everything. Networked to a bunch of slow computers. I think I have 10-12 taking up space right now. Anyone in Denver need a PIII 500 Xeon server?

funny. you're just getting offhand remarks here. i'll give you a serious post. i've got a roll-your-own i have evolved over the years. the latest:
K7N2 Delta2 FSR mobo
Athlon XP 2600+ (i think it's going at 2.08GHz)
All-in-Wonder 9600XT
3 gig ram
640 gig of HD space
DVD
CDRW
lights
and.....
.
.
.
.
.
.
the monster fan
hehe. it moves a ton of air -- enough that i have no other fans in the machine, including on the CPU.

Did you just pull that off of a normal house fan? I've seen fans like that for sale on some websites, they were just more then what I would want to spend on a fan. How much noise does it make?
Oh yeah, I also have a CD-RW, but it is sitting out on my dining room table where it will sit until I decide to work on it. It decided not to work with me anymore.

My equipment is still the same. I'm counting the days till I get ready to build my Opteron system though.

in terms of noise, it's not bad -- quieter than a 60mm muffin fan with bad bearings, if that means anything to you. i don't have a dB meter or i'd give you a 1m reading for sure. i'm guessing it's in the 60 dB range. a lot of smaller high-performance fans are 48 or so. but for moving 230 CFM and replacing all of the other fans, AND keeping my drives, etc. at a couple degrees C above ambient, i'll happily put up with it.
here are two of my previous posts that give you info on my setup:
