Printers
I am looking for a printer that is the "best". I would like it to also be able to scan and print photos on photo paper. Anyone had any suggestions? I would like to spend a max of 150. Thanks guys

i 2nd the canon vote.. the multi tanks are great.. if you run out of yellow, go spend $8 for a new yellow. and not throw away the rest of your cyan & magenta.
hp is also good, but personally i like canon, and I too hate lexmark (or dell, same junk, different badge)
edit - all new printers ranging in the $100-300 range are very similar... the paper is what makes the difference.
a site i use for reviews alot is http://www.epinions.com lots of helpful information, written by people that actually seem to have a brain (unlike those of futureshop.ca)

Canon is CRAP (IMHO) HP has a nice office Jet 6110 or 7110, printer scanner, copier Fax, The Warranty and customer service is GREAT for HP
Next option is Lexmark
I'm am HP, Lexmark/IBM, and Compaq, Xerox authorized Tech. (Just to name a few)
If you have around 5 Grand the Xerox Phaser 7750 is SWEET. It Use's soild ink technology (The soild ink looks like a block of Soild wax or a Crayon, It melts this down to print) WICKED RES. you may be able to pick up an older Phaser 850 for a couple hundred bucks. (You never wanna have to repair one of these thing as you need a pressure gauage to tune them.. Just like a compression tester you use on a engine)

Define "best"...if you buy one from Best Buy or similiar store they all are "about" the same. Some will have mildly better quality, some speed, some cost, some versitility. I would go see what your options are and do research on all of them. I find Canon to be a very well rounded printer, matter of factly I have a 6 year old canon for printing out Open Journal reports before I goto work in the morning. I also have a couple year old Canon s560 that can print photos as good as quality as most photomates can make photos. And I'm sure the newer printers are just that much better. My father has an Epson and its also a good printer, he hasnt had any problems with it. I believe Lexmark makes some cheaper alternatives for consumers, I think they also make some pretty serious bussiness machines too.....
