GPS/satillite locator beacon

So sitting at the Dr.'s Office today found this cool little device http://findmespot.com/ unlike post PLB's this little gem will sent out your GPS location via satellite and keep repeating the signal. Initial cost is under $200 with an annual service fee of $99-149. The upgraded service allows you to send to signal that will allow people to monitor you on http://maps.google.com/maps?tab=wl ...I think that would be pretty cool if you were doing some marathon off road trip and the kids could go along...
