radio wiring harness question

I am replacing the radio in my four runner with a toyota cd/tape unit out of an 02 tacoma. I noticed the plugs in the back are not the same, is there an adapter for this, or a way i can get the plastic part of the plug and just insert the wiring in the proper order? and to add to that question, would there be an easy place to find the wiring schematics for it?

thanks
Rick

if its a self-powered amp/stereo and you have an amp that is separate from your stereo, you need to remove your amp because behind the amp, there are two plugs that go into the back of the amp. AND...if that self-powered amp/stereo has two plugs in the back of it, youre in business

its the stock tacoma head unit, the wiring clips are different from my 94 four runner (factory tape deck only) and the 02 tape/cd player toyota factory radio.

still might be a metal box behing your head unit which means you have an amp. If that is the case look behing the amp then you should see familiar wires

What year is your 4runner?

Use this harness to plug into the factory deck:

Scosche TA02R

Get an aftermarket harness that'll connect to your 4runner OEM harness...and mate it to the piece above. After that, click them together!
