Do I need an Amp for this set up???

Hi all,

I'm currently running this set up in my 1997 Supra w/o issues:
Pioneer Premier DEH-P940MP
Fronts Speakers - Infinity Kappa's 42.5i "4"
Rear Speakers - Infinity Kappa's 652.5i "6-3/4"
Subwoofer - JL Audio 10W3v2 with JL Audio 250/1-250 Watt Amplifier...

Now the problem is with my 2000 4Runner.
Here's what I plan to run in my truck:
Pioneer Premier DEH-P980BT
Fronts Speakers - Infinity Kappa's 652.7i 2 Way "6-3/4"
Rear Speakers - Infinity Kappa's 62.7i 2 Way "6-1/2"
Subwoofer - JL Audio 10W1v2-4 with JL Audio 250/1-250 Watt Amplifier

The problem is that when I hook all this up my rear speakers go out.
This makes me think that I may need an amp for my front and rear speakers.

If I do, please let me know which amp is best for this set up.

tia,

maguirre

Multi channel for sure, I run a 6 channel to power 1 set of 5.5 components 1 set of 6.5 components and 2 10's.
As for amps these are all very good top of the line

Those Infinitys should work fine without an amp. I'd say you have a different problem.

You do not need an amp for the speakers to run,you have a problem elsewhere. You will get benefits from amping the front however.
