Mark,
thanks, without youre generosity, this project would have been another year away.
Jeremy,
I really hope you have a HIGH paying job waiting for you when you graduate because I know you are spending a LOT of cash on that monster rig of yours.
Peter,
Thanks, I had the wife help me with my clutch last year, It was interesting to say the least........ :pat:
Tonight, I tore into the third that came with the 85 axle. The PO had it powdered coated black. BUT he didnt remove the carrier or bearings before doing so. That leaves a LOT more cleanup for me. The freaking old gears are coated in black!
Anyway, I will update tomorrow night with some pics of the progress.
Hopefully tomorrow, I will have the regear and locker in the third and ready to go into the rig.

5.29s installed!
Thanks Travis,
I regeared and locked the rear last night. here are the updated pics.
I had a LOT of help from my buddy Allan, who is teaching me how to do this and what to look for. He has a lot of experience setting up gears for racecars and hotrods. I have learned a LOT.
Next week will be the fitment and regear of the e-locker.

no cutting on the frame yet. I will not be cutting on it until I have the axles regeared from 4.88 to 5.29 and the front axle is completed.
Last night I clearanced the front axle housing to accept the e-locker, welded up holes that were no longeer needed, drilled and tapped the new holes. Alo added some more surface area for the 3rd to seal on. No pics yet. I will post some this weekend when we get the 3rd regeared and the axle all together.

Can't wait to see your work Will, so far your rig has been nothing but top notch.
Off Topic: Rick are you coming to Tellico with us this year?
Back On Topic, keep up the good work and keep us updated with PICS.

Thanks Rick. I "fixed" it. It is a great bumper. It just needed a little tweeking ....Longs are going to be installed. 27 splines but not until after Tellico. (waiting for the cash to do it)
Scott.
Thanks for the kind words.
I will have more pics this weekend. THe front Axle will be completed, regeared and hi-steer installed. Hopefully it will be rolling and ready for installation.
I will be in Fla. next week, so the actual SAS will not start for another 2 weeks.
