Rudy97's 97 4runner

Hi I'd just like to reintroduce myself now that I have done a considerable amount to my truck in the past year. My name is Rudy, I bought my 4Runner for $6,500 back in June 2009 with 127,000 miles on it. It was beautiful, 4 cylinder, manual transmission, 4-wheel drive, and the electronic package.

On the way back from the dealership the check engine light came on and I later found out it was the Catalytic Converter . Fortunately, that was the only issue with the truck, so I wasn't too upset...things happen and the truck was cheap. I used the extra money I had over to buy my first mod I purchased the mini-header off the internet and had a performance shop bend and weld me a new complete exhaust including a Magnaflow catalytic converter, a O2 sensor correcting chip, and a Flowmaster 40 exhaust.

I took off the running boards, installed my ScanGauge II, and now with the new exhaust I was cruising in style!

As soon as I could save up the money I bought myself one of the first Savage Off-road front bumpers, and had a new Sony Xplode head unit, 6 new Kicker 3-way speakers, an Alpine 400 watt amp, and a Rockford Fosgate subwoofer.

This is how my 4runner stayed for months while I went to Parris Island to become a Marine, but as one last farewell a few friends and I went to Rausch Creek, PA. We had the entire park to ourselves all day.

Once my life normalized a little, I was able to take my truck with me, and with a new steady paycheck and loads of spare time to think about what I'd like my truck to look like. I began buying more and more modifications. Next to come was a 3" ToyTec Lift, Old Man Emu Shocks, a Savage Offroad Rear bumper, BEM Performance white face gauges, CB Radio, Rhino lined the front bumper and rock panels, and tint on the front windows to match the rear.
