Welcome to YT. Here are a couple sites I know of that are AZ specific but not Toyota specific.
http://www.crawlinaz.com/
http://www.wheelingarizona.com/

And there is always TTORA

Welcome to YT.

Why is your heart set on a '85? I know, straight axle and EFI... but they still need a lot of work. Steering, suspension... etc.

Swapping a newer IFS 4Runner can actually put you ahead in cost, time and final product.

If you start looking for '86 to '89 you'll have a lot more options for a 1st gen 4Runner.

Just throwing out some ideas.

thanx for the info, i was starting to see a trend with the price difference between the 85's and the 86-89.

1985 For Sale

I live in Goodyear, AZ and there is a 1985 4Runner down the street from my house that is for sale. It needs a new 22RE motor but the trucks decent and it has SAS in front w/ a 4 inch suspension lift. Probably pick it up for 1500.

I also have a 85 4runner, let me know how it works out.
