Rock Auto

You guys say to buy parts from Rock, so I tried out their site for my 1988 22R.

Denso wires and plugs. Did not have Denso or NGK cap and rotor, so I chose a no name Japanese cap and rotor. Total for all the parts was $35.03 - good deal.

But shipping was $17.34, or $8.45 plus $8.89, for shipping from 2 locations. Cap and rotor in location A, and plugs and wires in location B. Checkout had 2 shipping charges which totaled $17.34, so I did not order.

Or did I do something wrong?

The same thing happened to me when I ordered stuff from them. This isn't the first company that I've ordered thru that did the different shipping warehouse thing.

i went to my local PepBoys and got the cap, rotor, plugs and wires for $45. But i didn't really bother much about this expense because I had already bought a distributor for $160

Yeah Rock auto does that multiple ship thing. One thing I have done is tried to select a different park to see if it changed the shipping location from A to B so I could get everything with a single shipment. I think I was ordering brake pads and a flywheel and maybe some other misc stuff, but I couldn't seem to get everything from one warehouse.

But still they usually have more items than my local places (the flywheel was one for instance).
