Where to find chromo stub axles for Porsche 930s?
Hey y'all. I've been searching and googling my eyes out and have found only references to this upgrade. My blazeland kit + front Lockrite is popping CVs like craaaazy and I aint spending 1500 bones on custom RCVs. I also want to keep the locker because I really want to build a better rig, not just cop out and run open up there. It seems like a lot of the prerunner guys and tons of VW buggy builders are using Porsche 930s. I've also heard references to 7.5 inch Toyota chromoly stub axles set up for Porsche 930 flanges...
Does ANYONE know how to get a hold of those stub axles? Closest I've come is a reference on Dezertrangers saying 'yeah I got a set from some guy I found on a forum'.
Also, Porsches are 28 spline. Yota's 27. New inner hub bearing, new hub?
Thanks, guys. It'd be great to be able to build a solid, reasonably priced IFS trail rig that can perform in the rocks without snapping CVs left and right. My IFS diff with 4.88s has held up great so far, but if added strength in the axles snaps the r&p, yall can look forward to an LC100 diff swap build thread too.

If you're gonna try and do this UNDER $1500 then you should look at junkyard for BMW's and Mercedes with the 930 flanges and then measure cut and get a machine shop to put together the axles for you. You'll need to do a bit of research on the different rearends under the cars to make sure you get the good joints. There is no 'already-done-up-better-than-stock-but-cheaper-than-RCV' axle setups. If you are popping them like crazy you should check your steering stops and bump stops. If you adjust a little bit of travel out of which ever one is set wrong you will stop blowing CV's as much.
