I just picked up my 63" Chevrolet springs, and I am wondering whether I should press out the stock rubber 9/16" bushings and install energy suspension poly bushings that use the 18mm bolts like I used on my front sas kit.

I like the fact that the rubber is probably a lot more flexible then the poly, but I plan on using the trail gear creeper rear shackle hanger, which is available in both bolt sizes. I also like the fact that the 18mm bolts are available drilled/greasable, which seems like a big advantage for keeping things moving well... I haven't found any greasable 9/16 bolts. They may be too small to drill out and still be reliable.

So which do I use? Stock rubber bushings and non-greaasable 9/16 plain bolts, or 18mm bushings all around? FYI, I am using the Ruffstuff frenched front hangers.

Also, does anyone know the part number for the energy suspension bushing kit for the 63" Chevrolet springs?

I got part Number 3-2128 for my chevys and thy didnt fit. the main eye on my leafs were 1.55 inchs and the bushings form energy suspension were 1.70 inches. so i found a machine shop that would turn them for me to get then down to 1.59 inches, and they fit nice after that.

so if you go energy I suggest you measure everything before you order.

I would go with energy because they make everything very tight. you dont get any slop. I love mine. although they do have a tendency to get squiky if you dont grease them right on the install.
