IFS Third Removal Question

I'm going to be removing the front third member soon, and since i know in the rear, you must first pull the axles about 3 or 4 inches to remove the third, i'm assuming you have to do the same in the front. My question is how? I'm somewhat unfamiliar with how exactly the axles are set up in the front. I've got two conected to the wheels w/cv's and i'm assuming there is a set inside the small axle housing that is connected to the differetial housing. Can i just remove this set, or do i need to take off EVERYTHING. Thanks.
