I really like his side steps/sliders.... the dual stacked pipe design with the inlay is quite functional as both a slider and a step.. plus i bet theyre super tough....
anyone know where i can get a set? thats if they even make them for the 4runner... or maybe ill finally invest in a welding and jsut make them myself....
on another note... is it just me... or does that LC inspire you too?

What kind of wheels are on that cruiser, and do you think they have 4.5" backspacing or thereabouts? I'm looking at getting black wheels at some point and those are badass looking. I like them alot better than the plain jane "classic" style black like mickey thompson or 4crawler.

Are there any wheels that looks somewhat similar to that that would fit my runner? Preferably black or powder coated black, but I could probably find a place to get them powder coated if need be.

Definatley cool...they even managed to keep the wind deflector on the back, lol. Some engineering skills!!
Although, if i had the money for it, i would keep the body the way it is. Its got class that way.
All in all, its still a piece of work!!
btw, hanible...cool avatar!

I talked to Alan Podvin for a while at CM05.
He owned it again at that time.
And he didn't pay $60k for it.
It was lightly rolled and the insurance company totalled it out and sent it to a wrecking lot
If I remember correctly, he paid $7,000 for it.
When I spoke to him at CM05, he was looking for a duramax drivetrain to put in it.

and now it's back up on the auction block.
sadly, it looks like it's now been on an episode of pimp my ride...

also looks like they took an idea from the FJ cruiser, and added lights to the side mirrors-
