lexus 08 rx 350 maintanence light
Not Toyota but Toyota related so decided to post here. Im about to do an oil change to a 2008 lexus rx 350 3.5 v6 and i know it takes 5w-30 but does anyone know if the dealership uses dino oil or synthetics? And anyone know how to reset the maintanence light on this vehicle?

I think the dealer fluid is still dino. I switched to synthetic with 500 miles on the engine and never looked back....not that dino oil is bad, just think synthetic is better.
Oh, I have no idea on the light...sorry

Thanks for the info..Maintenance light reset is in the owners manual.
Set the speedo display to Odometer.
Turn key to the lock position
Press and hold the odometer button and turn key to on position.
Continue to hold the Odometer button until the display shows 000000
Once that shows up..your done.
The maintenance light will turn on once the allowed mileage has passed. I also agree that synthetic is cheap insurance for a longer lasting engine but I did this for my mother which says shes gonna trade it in for another truck soon but is tired of paying an arm and leg for simple maintenance at the Lexus dealership.
