Rear Disc Brakes 1/'79 FJ40

I am in the process of researching a rear disc brake conversion kit for my 1/79 FJ40. I found one on JT Outfitters that seems reasonable, but have questions about whether or not my rims will fit after I install the kit. It is something I would like to kow before I actaully order something.

Has anybody installed this kit, and know of or can take a measurement for me of the kit installed from the centerline of the axle out to the farthest point on the bracket and/or caliper.

Thanks,
Chris

JT Outfitters should be able to tell you if it accepts stock wheels... I would personally (and have) piece together everything req'd. I bought weld on brackets for $25, monte carlo calipers for about $50 (including core) and Chevy 1/2 ton discs for about $50. Lines and everything else add up too. IH8MUD has some great write ups in the tech section. I guess the problem with a 79 is the disc brakes... Use the eldorado clalipers but most guys complain about them.
