Are you still planning on producing your own rear bumper? I really like your design better. That way I can add a carrier later on. It would be much easier with the rectangular tube across the back like your pictures show...

Yes, but it will require welding. A bolt on is just not feasible for something that is going to tow or hold a tire carrier.
