Yakima cargo box on a Tacoma ext-cab? can I do it?
I'm wondering if I can put yakima racks on my tacoma ext-cab. I want to keep it seperate from the canopy so I can remove it and stuff without affecting the rack. Has anyone done this? The online yakima rack configurator is worthless. Which maybe means that it can't be done. I dunno.
It's pretty obvious where the front one would go but can you put a set on the little pop-out window on the ext cab? and is it far enough away from the front one to mount a cargo box?

It can be done. You'll put two sets of q-towers over the front door. Then you'll get the "q-stretch kit" which floats an extra foot farther back. It's designed for short roofs. Then you simply pop a box on top of that. I'm not sure how it will look with a long box, but it WILL work.
